Sound Farm
architecture + energy farm

SoundFarm is 1] a train station 2] a building system that converts mechanical energy from sound vibrations into electricity. The project demonstrates how architecture can be a driver for the development of new energy-related technologies, in this case, a piezoelectric building skin.

Sound Farm was exhibited at the Venice Biennale in 2006 as part of the Cities Exhibition at the Italian Pavilion.

Collaboration with Viktorija Abolina.
